Givenchy for H&M 2013: True or False?

The most stylish meme that's been popping on the interwebs this week was of this image above that's starting rumors that the next big designer collaboration with Swedish High Street retailer H&M will be with Givenchy next year.

No doubt Givenchy has been killllllllin' it the last few seasons with graphic prints galore thanks to Riccardo Tisci (the same guy who also designed the album cover for Jay-Z and Kanye West's Watch The Throne).

While nothing is officially confirmed about the collabo, it's definitely a super rad bones to the maxies rumor.

Maybe this time next year, we'll be able to find some pitbull jumpers at affordable prices thanks to our friends Hennes and Mauritz.

UPDATE (12/1/12): Givenchy has denied any rumors about a pending collaboration with H&M. Le sigh.

Lindsay Lohan, James Franco & Terry Richardson Star in R.E.M.'s Latest Music Video

It's only Sunday night, and the award for most random music video of the week already goes to R.E.M.'s latest clip that stars Hollywood hot mess Lindsay Lohan, photog du décennie Terry Richardson, A-List-now-C-lister Aggy Deyn and art genius freak James Franco.

And guess who directed it? Nope, not Terry, but James Franco of course! By now, you should be aware that James Franco is no stranger to hanging out behind the lens (especially since he dropped that zany Francophrenia at the Tribeca Film Festival this year).

If you have trouble recognizing Mr. Franco in the clip, it might be because he's in tons of drag for most of the time in this video (the footage of him as a her was taken while posing for Terry for Franco's cover shoot for gender-bending magazine Candy last year).

The video itself is ok, though visually blurry and weird for the most part. It's like Franco decided to do a massive footage dump and collage it into something that's supposed be "arty". Whatever.

Meet Etre: iPhone/iPad Friendly Gloves For The Winter

London's Etre creates some seriously quality goods. With a small line of dapper goods (including outerwear, sweaters, gloves, scarves, hats and bags), each item oozes out classic, British heritage style.

Even though they seem like a brand that's geared more for the lads than the lasses,  girls who aren't afraid to rock some uni-sex appeal and some boyish charm will totally dig their cozy sweaters, as well as their warm and 21st century approved wooly gloves.

Crafted for the modern gentleman (and lady), Etre's wooly gloves have special tips at the end of the fingers that make it capable for you to check in FourSquare or update your status on Facebook on your iPhone or iPad this winter.

Starting around 40 GBP each (or about $64), these gloves make excellent gifts and/or stocking stuffers for the holiday season ahead. I managed to score a pair myself, and have been already rocking them thanks to the cold front that's already hit the NYC region (I swear it's about to snow any second now...).

A tip for the ladies - if you plan on buying a pair of gloves, I recommend getting a pair in a size small (unless you have crazy huge monster hands).

Alice Dellal Stars In A Very Un-H&M H&M Video

One of my favorite anti-model models Alice Dellal stars in this fashion film/potential European commercial for Swedish retailer H&M. Produced by the Swell NY gang (known for making sick fashion shorts), you see Alice in her typical gear sans anything with a CHANEL label on it, goofing around (London?) town with some other "scruffy" looking walking mannequins.

Azealia Banks Goes Sea Punk in New "Atlantis" Video [WATCH]

So, I'm like a big nerd these days for Azealia Banks. She makes sweet music and her style is da bomb diggity bomb bomb -- and that's an astrological fact. She just dropped her latest music video about an hour ago on the World Wide Interwebz, for the track "Atlantis." The song is dope, and the video will have you reminded of your Trapper-Keeper-Lisa-Frank-Pog-Slammer-ABC's-Reboot-cartoon-loving days.

Fashion call outs:
-A T-shirt that looks like it's based off of a screenprint of a 500 Euro bill
-Jeremy Scott Sunglasses
-Capri pants that came straight out of 1999 (at least that's what I'm going to assume)

AB -- you get your mermaid raver on, girl.

Much love,
Sushi Sue xox

NYFW Flashback: Ostwald Helgason SS13 Takes Prep to the Year 2050

Ostwald Helgason presented his Spring/Summer 2013 collection on Saturday, September 8th at Milk Studios during this past New York Fashion Week. Out of the few shows I was able to catch that week, this one definitely left an impression with me. It's so hard to find designers presenting in NYC to actually show some fun with their collections.

Thanks to his use of a broad color palette that's perfect for the warmer seasons, along with the fine, preppy sophisticated cut of the garments, Helgason developed a clean yet still spunky collection of duds that could totally play up to a range of people's personal tastes. From the Upper Eastsider to the Downtown fashionista, it's quite easy to see his clothes on all sorts of folks.

At the presentation I thought to myself, "This is what people in the 1980s probably thought what preppy clothing would like like in the year 2012." Heck, even now in 2012, Helgason's SS13 collection looks like what ESPRIT/Benetton/Lacoste will be creating come 2050.

PS Why do these models look so pissed off more than models normally do at shows? It's probably because I came at the tail-end of the two hour presentation. I've never seen a model able to hold a smile for a full two hours - have you?
