13 Designer Handbags That Won't Suck For Spring

It's a new season so that means a new excuse to blow your hard-earned monies on material things. I've had some recent lifestyle changes happen the last 9 months and now able to live a bit more like a human for New York's standards.

So, of course, I've been recently infected with a shopping bug, slowly building and planning out my spring/summer 2013 wardrobe. Also, figured I should look into investing in a statement piece - and since I'm not a big jewelry wearer (love necklaces those, but being in front of a computer all day makes it hard to wear cocktail rings and chunky bracelets), next best option is a designer handbag.

I don't know about you, but I definitely need a handbag that can keep up with my "be prepared for anything" lifestyle (a.k.a. packing your life in your handbag). Hence, I tend to favor the larger set and not anything too delicate. So, I present to you 13 handbags that won't suck for spring, in no particular order. Boooooooooom.

1. 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Medium Satchel in Shark Leather

Shark embossed cow leather? Hell yes, please.

2. Givenchy Quilted Medium Lucrezia Duffel

Instant sophistication for only 3 months rent!

3.  Alexander McQueen Large Heroine Bag

Great big ass bag to rock from day to night.
$3095 @ Luis Avia Roma

4.  Proenza Schouler Medium Printed Leather PS1 Satchel

It's like taking a little bit of Philly/Brooklyn wrapped up in a expensive frame everywhere I go.
$2375 @ SSENSE

5. Prada Pyramid Frame Bag

It's like a vintage handbag but not.

6. Junya Watanbe Comme Des Garcons Studded Bag

What all tote bags will look like in the future.
$1213.21 @ Farfetch

7. Jil Sander Notte Bag

Not for drug dealers.
$1456 @ LN-CC

8.  3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Medium Satchel in Oxblood

Obsessed? Yes, yes I am.

9. Marc Jacobs XL Single Shoulder Bag

It's like Chanel but not.
$1122.19 @ Farfetch

10. Proenza Schouler Large Leather PS1 Satchel

What can I say? I'm a sucker for black and blue. I blame Miike Snow.

11. Chloe Elise Shoulder Bag

Probably the only Chloe bag I like right now.
$1695 @ SSENSE

12. Moschino Bucket Bag

I'm pretty sure this exact bag was in Troop Beverly Hills.
$895 @ Net-A-Porter

13. Saint Laurent Leather Shopping Bag

So classic. So likely to get dirty.
$2350 @ Net-A-Porter

First Look: House of Fraser Men's Spring/Summer 2013 Collection

House of Fraser is rolling out their Spring/Summer 2013 duds soon at a shop near you, if you happen to live in the UK of course. To give you dudes a teaser of what you can expect to scope out in the men's section, House of Fraser has released two exclusive images featuring some looks that are light on the casual, and heavy on the smart.

Look #1
Sweatshirt, Fred Perry, £95
Polo Shirt, Lacoste Live, £75
Shorts, Boss Green, £110

Look #2
Cardigan, Linea, £85
Shirt, Linea, £65
Jeans, PRPS, £225
Belt, Howick, £30

Since it's still a bit nippy outside these days, you can head over to HoF (or alternatively check out their excellent online store) to stock on some light jumpers and cardigans that will make great transition pieces into the milder months ahead.

Oh, and ladies - don't forget that rocking an oversized, Grandpa-esque sweater is still pretty hot (and pretty flippin' comfortable) these days as well. Pair it up with a pair of leggings and ankle boots that have a bit of a heel going on, and you got yourself a cozy chic look right there!

Agnes B x Rough Trade: Shop The Collaboration

The partnership between French high-end high street agnès b. and ultimate British record shop Rough Trade began back in April 2011 for Record Store Day. Rough Trade headed down to Paris that year to celebrate the retail holiday with live music and special merchandise, like the ones you see above.

These items are part of a special limited edition range, that are sold exclusively at agnès b. stores in Japan and at Rough Trade shops in London. But for the rest of us who live in neither spots, you can also purchase the items online right now.

So, what are you waiting for?
