// J'ADORE KENZO PARIS //

Ever since Opening Ceremony's Humberto Leon and Carol Lim landed on Planet Kenzo last year, the Japonais-Francais designer fashion house has finally entered the 21st century -- and it's fucking great.

Already two seasons in, themes of luxury sportswear with nods of the late 80s/early 90s have been captured up in the most recent collections. The clothes are fresh, fun and still have a sense of the label's history.

Kenzo hit up animated fashion film director du jour Quentin Jones (whose done similar stop-action animation fashion films for the likes of Victoria Beckham's clothing label Victoria) for their Pre-Fall 2012 video -- and it's fucking great.

Has a bit of a Jean Paul Goude x Lee Cooper a la the 80s vibe to them which I'm totes digging.

BONUS: Here's an Instagram photo of me in my new Kenzo x New Era cap that I got at OCNY in SoHo:

// GIA COPPOLA X ROBERT SCHWARTZMAN "ALL MY LIFE" VIDEO //

Gia Coppola and Robert Schwartzman keep it in the family with this new music video down below, taken from Gia's upcoming short Casino Moon. I'm so stoked for this.

I've been a fan of Gia's since she directed that Opening Ceremony x Reyn Spooner short last summer, which you can watch right underneath:

// ALICE+OLIVIA PRE-SPRING 2013 //

What can I say? The collection is very a+o-y. Of course, sticking to the trademark staple motif of the 60s as usual, one highlight is that Stacey Bendet has got on the fruit-print bandwagon à la Dolce + Gabbana Spring '12 and Opening Ceremony x Reyn Spooner Spring '12, which I dig.

But nothing too ground-breaking here.

It's a little different than what's she's offered up in the past, but it's a safe collection for all you people that live between FiDi, Tribeca and all the other yuppie/jap-py hoods up in Manhattan.

The longer I look at these photos, the more I'm thinking I could see the pieces in a Topshop back in March of this year.

C'est la vie.

// Rankin is Going Down The Sky Ferreira Route Again, This Time With Azealia Banks //

Dear Azealia Banks,
Stop working with Rankin.

You have amazing songs but these videos aren't doing them the full justice that they deserve. Unless you really did want to look like your video came from 2001, with that Janet Jackson (see "I Get So Lonely") and Aaliyah hybrid vibe (See "Try Again").

Rankin - I see you're going down the "Let me make videos around the new female 'it' singer that the fashion industry is cumming all over for" route again à la Sky Ferreira (bless her tweaked, drugged up and cranked-out soul). Sigh.

I will say this - the "Liquorice" video had amazing styling going on thanks to Nicola Formichetti.

I'll let everyone else form their own opinions but here's everything you need to know:

[Note: EMI has blocked the US to the original "One" video. Thanks assholes.]

// American Apparel Factory Outlet SoHo, NYC - Press Preview //

American Apparel has a new Factory Outlet shop in Soho, NYC on 285 Lafayette (b/w Prince and Houston).  They had a press preview on Thursday night and it was good times.

Super great seeing Sean Hotchkiss and the back of his head, Justin Bridges and his non-stop beard, Small Girls PR's Mal and B, Sarah Kunst, my new buddy Maceo and the lady of the night (and everyone's favorite Tigermom), Joey Ng. S/O to Yanna W. for coming along (not pictured).

Also great running into fellow KMart Fashion lady Donna Kim and her amigo!

I got a two-tone panel chemise blouse and an oversized forest green california fleece sweater for the fall. Yay! EGGCITING.

SNG XOXOXO++
